Commercial Grade Rope Lights – 3 wire – 13 mm, 120 volt, 25,000 hours burn time:

Sold in 150 foot spools. May be cut with a razor knife every 36 inches and are marked with a scissor symbol at cut location. If cut anywhere else, but at the scissor location, the circuit will be interrupted in a section of the rope and will not light. Commercial grade rope lights can be connected with straight or “T” connectors. *Note* the maximum distance of a commercial rope light is 150 feet to one 20 amp electrical outlet. Never extend beyond 150 feet. *Note * Direct plug only.

Night Lights / Bubble Lights – 7 watt bulb - 120 volt:

Christmas tree Bubble lights fit a C-7 string, same base, same volt. The C-7 Christmas light bulb heats the vial of liquid, the liquid is methylene chloride. Once the vial is heated the liquid begins to bubble. If the Christmas light bulb fails to bubble it is sometimes necessary to shake light to start bubbling action.

Fiber Optic Christmas lights:

Fiber optics are made of fine filament that carries light up through the filament from an internal light source. In most cases this light source is a 35 watt halogen bulb with a motorized color wheel which can have varying colors. The varying colors transcend to the fiber optic filament, creating the color changes. Fiber optics are not bulbs.

What To Do When Christmas Lights Fail

  • Check that all circuits are on and that all plugs are plugged into a sufficient power source.
  • Check plug fuses of Christmas light set. It is sometimes necessary to spread plug prongs of plugs to insure circuit contact. This is often a common problem.
  • While Christmas light set is plugged into sufficient current, run hands, slowly over bulb tops. If Christmas light set comes on, while touching Christmas light bulb, remove and replace Christmas light bulb that has caused short in circuit. More then likely the Dumet wire has not made contact with the Christmas light socket.
  • Check that appropriate amount of Christmas lights are plugged into each other, end to end. There should be no more then 2 sets of same light set.
  • If Christmas lights are plugged into an extension cord, make sure there is not an over load of Christmas lights - too many Christmas lights plugged into extension cord. Check plug fuse of extension cord. Note: It is always best to check any light set while it is plugged into a wall plug outlet
